So since the last post, things have been really good. Work is back to a "normal" White House routine (i use normal loosely with the new administration). A few significant things to report on though.
First, Collin participated in the science fair at school and was very proud when he got a ribbon on his project (they all got ribbons, but he was still very proud). He did "Tadpoles and how they turn into frogs". He worked really hard on it and did a really nice job.
Next, Mya started her ballet class. This is her first activity without Mommy and she did very well. Mommy had to sit in the classroom to start and Mya ran over a couple of times, but as the class went on, she warmed up and had fun. The class is a little ballet, a few princess activities and general play, so it is great for her. You will notice though that the majority of the time, she had her "lovies" with her. I wonder if she will ever give them up.
Lastly, EK rocks! She has been training for the Shamrock Marathon which was in VA beach this weekend. This was her first marathon and of course she did wonderful. I am super proud of her and what is especially impressive is her results. She ran a 3:19:45. For women, she was 18th out of 982. For her age group, she was 3rd out of 221. For all runners, she was 188th out of 2555. The thing to be proudest about is her time qualifies her to run the Boston Marathon in April of 2010. I will be organizing a party for that one....anyhow, i am so happy for her.
Well, that is it for the significant updates. Enjoy the pictures and videos.
