Hello all-
Well, I wanted to quickly put an update out on what has gone on. I made a trip to Cape May for one last visit with my units and the fam tagged along. It was beautiful weather and the kids really had a great time. My last day at the office in Philly was on Fri the 13th. On tues, we took the kids to Sesame Place. it was a blast (especially since we get in for free). Wed, the packers came and got the whole house packed in about 6.5 hrs....we sat there and watched. The truck came the following day and of course, it couldn't go as smoothly as the packing. They fit about 90% of our stuff on the truck...the other 10% didnt fit. So Thurs night, we drove to VA since they were going to deliver what they fit on the first load. We got the stuff in the house Fri and then Sat morning we headed back to Philly. Sunday, i ran the Philly Triathlon (olympic distance) It was great. I have been training for this for a long time and i was really happy with how i did. On Monday, the truck came back and picked up the rest of our stuff and then we departed Philly for good. The week of the 23rd, we packed into the new house and then on the 30th, i reported to the new job. Today is thurs the 3rd, in 4 days at the house, i have stood on the south lawn during the presidents departure on Marine 1, i have spent over 10 hours in meetings in the White House and have gotten to hold the infamous "football"....man are these next 2 years going to be cool.
