They had a rough day :)
Hello all-
Well I did it...i finished my first triathlon. What a great experience and feeling. I had a lot of fun and learned a lot. I felt good for all the events, but i can definetly say there is nothing like the start of the swim. 150 guys trying to swim towards one turn buoy. I have never been kicked or splashed so much in all my swimming experiences. Anyhow, i was really happy with my finish. It was a sprint distance (750 meter swim, 18 mile bike, 3.5 mile run) and i finished in 1 hr 49 min. I was 18th in my age group. I was also 149 out of 450 overall. My success would not have come without the help of my great cheering section. Enjoy the photos and you are all more then welcome to come cheer me on for the Philly tri on the 22nd...I also encourage everyone to challenge themselves with some physical activity (i know my pop will be running the LI turkey trot on Thanksgiving morning with me). Challenge yourself because you will be amazed at what you can accomplish.
